Hi Pam, I have a really bad memory and don't remember what you look like or our living together. I'm sorry.

I've also lost touch with Nidia and Reba. I'm sorry I'm not more helpful! I hope you do connect with them, but...

Thanks for writing! Good to hear from you!

Hi Joy,
I lived down the hall from you for 2 months. I lived at Rose Vista as well from March-May 2000. It's been years but I can't help but think of that place from time to time & the friends I made there. Have you kept in contact with anyone else there? I'm trying to find Nidia & Reba.
I have to go now, take care & god bless!

Hi Beverly, As I mentioned in my email to you, unfortunately, Rose Vista Maternity Home is not a hospital and I really don't have any information to help you in your search.

I wish you much success, but can't help you. Sorry.

Thanks for the review, and for sharing your hiking experiences. I find that anything nature related, whether it be hiking a trail or wandering along a beach is such an intensely individual experience. It seems that no two people have the same insights and experiences even though they may have walked the same path.

A good example of this is the difference between Bryson's book and Eric Kampmann's Trail Thoughts: A Daily Companion for the Journey of Faith. For one, hiking the trail inspired an entertaining and humorous work, and the other a daily devotional and a deeper look into our place in the world. I've never been much of one for reading too much faith-based writing, but I'm really enjoying making my way through this one.

This is perhaps one of the most heartfelt, unselfish essays I have ever read on the subject of adoption. I commend your bravery, faith and generous heart, your maturity. You made what appears to be a very wise and responsible decision in choosing a family to raise your son if you were not in a position to raise him yourself. Doing the right thing for your child isn't always easy, and you should be very proud of your decision not only to choose adoption but to remain in his life. He is a lucky boy to have so much love surrounding him.

No, I haven't. Thanks for the suggestion. What's it about?

My friend has recommended The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin S. Sharma. Let's stay in touch and keep comparing notes because I love good book referrals!

Thanks Dev, Please tell her I'm really enjoying it and am half way through already. Still trying to learn the best way to deal with my boy's club issues, but at least it's nice to know I'm not alone!

I love strong, empowering women so please tell her "You Go Girl!"

Thanks for reading!
