About

Hi, I’m a birthmother of a nine-year old little boy named Elijah Benjamin who lives with his adoptive parents on the east coast. We call him Eli. I let his adoptive parents name him to let them bond closer at his birth.

I placed him with his new family when he was first born. We have an open adoption which means that I can see, speak, write, send him gifts, and visit him when I want. He loves me. I love him.

This is the story of my open adoption and my feelings about it. Some feelings you may agree with, some you may not understand, and some will anger you, but this is my perspective. Take it or leave it.

I hope you enjoy reading my journey.
